Debut Gowns

The Debut is a traditional Filipino coming-of-age celebration for young women in which it celebrates a young woman's 18th birthday, the age of maturity in the Philippines.> Although also reaching maturity at 18, Filipino men mark their own Debut on their 21st birthday, albeit with less formal celebrations or none altogether.

Vintage Style

To The Old Days
Vintage clothing in recent years, for the first time, has been recognized as a tangible (hard) asset, which means that it has value. The asset purchased retains an immediate monetary value. The asset may well appreciate, hopefully at a rate faster than inflation. During periods of high and/or rising inflation, hard assets (including collectibles) tend to outperform financial assets, which often depreciate in value in the face of high inflation. The driving force during the price mark-up phase, when collectibles prices escalate rapidly over a period of years, is the level and direction of real interest rates. First oil, then labor costs, then general inflation, have started to awaken from their slumber. Now collectibles and other hard assets should begin to outperform financial assets, as they did in the prior inflationary wave of 1973-1981. Once the tide starts to come in, the trend should continue for years, not just for weeks or months, if history is any guide. Collectors of jewelry and vintage clothing can expect to have the wind at their backs in the years ahead.

Summer Wear

Summer Cuteness

The most important thing for most women when it comes to clothing, is not just beauty, it is comfort. What season is it the most important to be comfortable in the clothing that you are wearing? Summer! When it is hotter than August asphalt, the most important thing to me is to be comfortable. Many people think that dresses are not comfortable. I beg to differ. There is nothing more comfortable than a dress in the summer. Shorts may stick to your legs. Capri's are too long and hot. Jeans are out of the question on those hot, humid, sticky days of summer. There is nothing like wearing a dress for comfort.

There are many different styles of dresses. I still remember the old days when we used to go with out bras. It seems obscene now but it was all the rage in the 70's and into the 80's. You can find halter dresses that are very comfortable in many different styles. I love the look of dresses with loose fitting skirts. You can find longer ones that brush your calves or ones that come to your thighs. You want to be careful about modestly if you wear a dress that is short. If you get a dress that is a little longer you don't even have to wear underwear. It is sinfully comfortable. Dresses with spaghetti straps or strapless are the most comfortable. You can find some with built in bras. You can also find bras that are specially made to wear with different dress tops. If you are really lucky you can go without a bra. Enjoy and have a beautiful, comfortable summer and feel dressed to the nines in your summer dresses. Have a great summer.

KPOP Fashion

K-pop also influences fashion, especially in Asia, where clothes and accessories worn by K-pop stars, as well as their hairstyles and the cosmetic brands they use are sought after by young listeners. Fashion brands release copies of clothing worn by idols. Some K-pop idols including G-Dragon from Big Bang have established themselves as a fashion icon by attracting the attention of Western fashion designers, most notably Jeremy Scott, who expressed his interest in working with singer CL from 2NE1.
In January 2012, Korean artists held a fashion show in Japan, which was attended by 33,000 people. In Thailand authorities worry over the fashion items popularized by Korean pop, as Thai teenagers are willing to wear items unfit for local weather conditions (e.g. leggings) and also use skin whitening products to look like Korean celebrities.[138] In North Korea, despite strong governmental regulations, South Korean fashion is a topic of interest. K-pop popularized high-heel shoes, sleeveless tops and fashionable accessories, although such attire is forbidden in the country.
